During these pandemic times I have allowed myself to observe life in flowers, birds and the places they visit, the sun and its movement throughout the year. I saw these “Oaxaca Trees” in 2018 and the result didn’t appear to be relevant until this past year when they gained another meaning. There is something about revisiting the photograhpich archive which feels as if you were observing the images for the first time; images that in the past you thought useless, become something new. That’s what happened to me with these two -and many more- images: during lockdown I was able to go over many pictures I had taken in the past, and I was able to see in them something I wasn’t able to see before.
